**THIS IS AN INSTANT DOWNLOAD**From the smallest particles of matter to the biggest star system, our universe is made up of all things that exist in space.
Our resource gives you the big picture about space. Start off by exploring the Big Bang and formation of our Milky Way galaxy. Learn how distance is measured in light years, and how far the next closest star is to Earth. Create your own nebula using construction pager, newspaper and water. Build pinhole galaxies to present barred, elliptical, spiral, and irregular galaxies to the class. Find out how much you would weigh on the sun, moon and planets. Solve the mystery of black holes and write your own science fiction story about it. Finally, travel to the most distant objects in our universe—quasars. Aligned to the Next Generation State Standards and written to Bloom's Taxonomy and STEAM initiatives, additional hands-on experiments, crossword, word search, comprehension quiz and answer key are also included.

This was a perfect end to my unit. The students enjoyed the reading comprehension passages. They found them interesting.
Lots of content. Well done. Thanks!
This was a great resource to combine literacy and science instruction.
"This has been perfect for my special education students. The reading and comprehension questions were great. Thanks!
Excellent for a sub day and a great addition to the standard lesson. Thank you!
Good for a basic understanding of gravity.
Very informative! Awesome!
I had to have a sub for a few days. This ended up being the perfect things to leave for science. Very well done materials and super easy to use. Thanks
I used portions of this to improve upon my already existing unit. Great resource.
Great student friendly reading, with questions to check for student understanding.
Fantastic for tiering reading in my inclusive 7th grade classroom. The set-up of prior knowledge recall, easily accessible reading passages and great lower level questions to check for concept understanding are great. The kids enjoy reading these passages aloud because everyone can do it and class participation is frenzied when we answer the questions because ALL of my students know the answers!!
I enjoy this resource very much. I use it as homework for my students and they enjoy reading about the universe. The students come to school excited to share with me the information from their homework. Excellent product, thank you.
